The ONLY series for Adult Education/ABE

I have had phenomenal success in all levels of Adult Education ABE using only the Number Power series and (for the highest level) I add Steck GED Math.
Number Power gets it done with practice steps that start with easy work and build confidence, and logically advance to more difficult application. My students are amazed at their progress and achievement, even those with "math anxiety".
If you teach ABE: start collecting every single one of the Number Power books!
A personal quirk: For Number Power 2: I prefer the older publication because it talks about "top" and "bottom" numbers of fractions instead of referring to them as numerators and denominators. It's easier for students to grasp and the longer terms don't come up on the GED anyhow.

I teach high school special education students. Fractions and decimals are always hard for the students to grasp. The exercises in this book are excellent for helping the students to better understand.

Awesome for GED teaching

This series is excellent for adult learners and adults preparing for the current version of the GED. Frequently, it is difficult to find a basic series that is not peppered with cute illustrations for younger learners, but this is an excellent balance of practice work and word problems. I use pages from it nearly every day.
