About the Author
Margaret R. Simmons, pianist, is a professor of music at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She has performed throughout the country as a member of the Aulos Trio and the Klarion Trio and has won acclaim as a recitalist with numerous professional singers.
Jeanine Wagner, soprano, is a professor of music and assistant director of the School of Music at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The 1994 winner of the Artist Presentation Award in St. Louis and the 1992 winner of the Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition, she was named an International Finalist in the Luciano Pavarotti competition and has been a Regional Winner in the Metropolitan Opera auditions.

This book is wonderful it has given me wonderful ideas for recital. This is great for voice students and teachers alike looking for new and interesting rep to study. Most of these composers are still alive so you are able to actually connect with some of them.
